If you are flying with all of your gear up on your vest, PLEASE do yourself a favor and try out the battle belt setup. Not only does moving your gear down south take a huge load off your spine, but also it streamlines your kit to reduce snag hazards for emergency egress. And if you're not a flyer, these belts are still great from mission to backcountry for transferring some of the load off of your shoulders. These must be combined with an inner belt, and provide MOLLE attachment to keep your kit from sliding around. The inside has removable non-slip liners that keep your gear vertically in place. They accept any inner belt including cobra belts, issued BDU style belts, or that sweet shiny buckle leather combo.
